Renton Fire Invites Community to Annual Fire Station Open Houses This October
Renton Regional Fire Authority will open the doors of six fire stations to the public this October for its annual Open House series, giving families a hands-on look at the equipment, apparatus, and people who protect their community.
The free, family-friendly events will be held over three consecutive Saturdays, with two stations participating each week:
October 17, 2026
- Fire Station 11 — 211 Mill Ave S, Renton, WA 98057 — 9 to 11 a.m.
- Fire Station 12 — 1209 Kirkland Ave NE, Renton, WA 98056 — 1 to 3 p.m.
October 24, 2026
- Fire Station 13 — 18002 108th Ave SE, Renton, WA 98055 — 9 to 11 a.m.
- Fire Station 15 — 1404 N 30th St, Renton, WA 98056 — 1 to 3 p.m.
October 31, 2026
- Fire Station 16 — 12923 156th Ave SE, Renton, WA 98059 — 9 to 11 a.m.
- Fire Station 17 — 14810 SE Petrovitsky Rd, Renton, WA 98058 — 1 to 3 p.m.
Visitors of all ages are invited to meet local firefighters, tour fire engines, try out fire equipment, spray a real fire hose, and learn about fire safety and firefighting careers. Attendees can also collect safety swag and enjoy additional activities at each station.
“Our open houses are one of our favorite traditions each year,” Fire Chief Steve Heitman shared. “They’re a chance for our firefighters to connect with the neighbors they serve every day, and for kids and families to see firsthand what goes into keeping our community safe.”
