Renton RFA Story Time at Renton Library

Renton RFA Story Time at Renton Library

It was a fantastic time for all at the Firefighter Story Time, at the Renton Library, on September 17, 2018. Directed by Children’s Librarian, Bekka Martin, our crew read several firefighter related stories and even partook in the “Firefighter Hokey Pokey”! After interacting with over 170 community members at the event, everyone proceeded outside to tour the fire engine and take advantage of a great photo opportunity!

Being granted the opportunity to provide a fun, educational experience for the children of our community is always a highlight in our day and an honor to be invited. We extend a special thank you to the Renton Library for having us and to the community members who took time out of their busy day to join us. We appreciate all of the love and support we receive from our amazing community every day.

A big thank you to Bekka Martin for coordinating and directing the event, and for her kind words after the event:

“Greetings!

We had a great time with the Renton Fire Department this morning! We had +172 people attend the event. We read stories and did the “Firefighter Hokey Pokey” together. They explained their equipment and discussed some fire safety tips. We trekked to the parking lot and got to go inside the fire engine. The 6 firefighters were amazing with the kiddos as they lifted them into the vehicle and answered any questions….

Everyone can’t wait to have them return next year.” – Bekka Martin

We can’t wait to do it again next year either! Here are some great photos we took at the event, as well as some that were shared with us.
