DESCRIPTION:Please join us, alongside Fire District 40, for an open house event at Fire Station 17 on October 31, 2026 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.\nGuests will have the opportunity to:\n\nTour the Station 17 fire engine and aid unit\nTry out various pieces of firefighter gear and equipment\nMeet the fire chief, Station 17 firefighters, Fire District 40 commissioners, and various members of our executive and civilian staff\nReceive educational fire safety and career information\nReceive Renton RFA safety swag\n\nNo RSVP necessary. Parking at this station is limited. Guests are welcome to park in the KinderCare parking lot across the street from the station. There will be a professional crossing crew stopping traffic to allow community members to safely cross the street. Please use EXTREME caution while crossing Petrovitsky Road and wait for the crossing personnel. Please do not drop off attendees in front of the station; that is not a loading zone. As a courtesy to local residents, we ask that you do not park in the apartment complexes near the station if you are not a resident or are not authorized by a resident to do so. You will also find additional parking opportunities approximately 2-3 blocks NW of the station in various retail parking lots.\nPhoto/Video Notice: This is a public event at a public fire station. Photos and videos will be taken at the event by Renton Regional Fire Authority (Renton RFA) staff and may be used to inform the community regarding this event, future events, programs and services provided by or offered by Renton RFA. Media taken at the event may be subject to public records requests. No persons photographed or videoed at this event will be compensated in any way for the resulting media or use of said media in future publications, whether they are in print or online.\n
